CLASS BBQ UPDATE:
So far, I have received around 30 responses.(Actually close to 30) And good news ppl! Mdm Rozana and Mr Lim will be there! BTW, you guys are more than welcomed to bring extra food like snacks, sweets or even marshmellows!(Cos I only bought 2 packets) Yar..so if you all wanna bring, feel free to do so! And 2H, don't get your hopes up too high k? Cos the programme lined up is really simple so Rachel and I would REALLY appreciate it if you all could bring board games, card games or any games to entertain yourselves. Last of all, please remember it starts at 5! so those who come at 6 probably will have food ready before them but for those who come late, I suggest you all eat A BIT first in case there's nothing left. And from my calculations so far, the cost to expect per person would be $7. Hope that's okay! Seeyou!

Haha, ok so if any of you are still suffering from the shock. Calm yourself down while I give you the details. LOL:D Sorry for keeping you guys waiting due to my inefficiency but at least it still came through! OK ppl, here it is!
Venue: The Tanamera (Rachel's house)
*those who ask me where again I have absolutely nothing to say._.
Time: 5pm to 11pm (when we say 11, we don't literally mean 11. You can come later and leave earlier)
* you all can come at 6 so we can have time to prepare but all are welcome to
come earlier and help out. You should preferably take the initiative to help out :D
Date: 14 NOV 2008
Things to bring: NO NEED to bring any food unless you all want to:D BUT, do remember to bring games to entertain yourselves. You all can organise some games too cause we booked a function room. Also, please BRING CASH TO PAY FOR THE BBQ?! You all don't think Rachel and I would be so nice as to pay for all of you do you? We're not that rich! About $8 would be sufficient cos each of you would have to pay about $6.
How to get there:
Take EAST-WEST line if you travel by train.(advised) Alight at Tanah Merah. Walk to the condo and ask for the function room. They should direct you there.
After getting out of the EZLINK part at the MRT, you take the escalator down and turn RIGHT. Keep walking towards the direction of a MULTI COLOURED CONDO (i.e. AWAY FROM KATONG FLOWER SHOP). If you aren't sure, meet as a group and those that know how to go can bring you there. I am so sorry I can't go there to fetch each and everyone of you cos I have to prepare the pit!
There are buses 2,24,9,35,14,45,31 depending whether you have them.
Attire:
Casual don't need to "stylish" cause I believe it will be warm. Its just a BBQ, small simple BBQ.
Cost:
If 35 ppl go-$5/person
If 30 ppl go-$6/person
If 25 ppl go-$7/person

Dear Hydrus, I wrote this on my blog. I feel that I should post it here too. Here goes:
I am so sorry I broke out in tears before I could really say my heartfelt thanks to all of you all. I didn't want to continue cos' I knew I'd just keep on crying ): Alright, so here: Thanks for making my 2 years in DHS a memorable one. Even as you're moving on to the new campus, I guess it wouldn't matter to me so much that I'd be missing out on the new facilities because the Mt. Sinai campus is where we spent our 2 years together. I feel that we're lucky to be able to spend our first 2 years there. No other level did so. It was only us. We chose to come here after PSLE despite knowing that the traveling time was gonna be really long. However far it may be, the MRT trips back home were the ones that really bonded us together... Before today, it never seemed so real to me that I was leaving. It suddenly just struck me as I walked into the classroom today that wow, today's the last day I'll ever be stepping in that classroom! We've had some crazy times together. Salsa, class league (07'), level camps, etc. These 2 years really flew past and time flies when you're having fun. So Hydrus, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making my life in DHS a memorable one.

Though today i sorta didn't say much, it still feels weird, very,very weird deep down.
i think i will miss Hydrus afterall, whether rain or shine, its still beautiful.
the thought that its kinda impossible to catch bubbly weeqin, funny cassandra, noisy samara, beautiful rachel, and the cute little chicken just feels so weird.
watching you guys tear was heartbreaking, and i'm never that sort of people who knows how to console people. So all i could do was stand there and stone.
Nevertheless, i shall post what i wanted to say here. though actually i should have given this speech after the 5 girls spoke.
Hey Hydrus, yep, its been two years.
the moment we stepped in the gate of this temporary Mt Sinai Campus, our lives were intercepted and meant to be different. They became colourful, where the true bond lies. Dissatisfaction with one another cannot be avoided, but after all and all, if you realise, what you will remember most is the happy days we've all shared...
Remember the year 1 orientation? when we played ice breakers and barely knew each others' names?
Remember the year 1 level camp? when we said "goodnight" to each other for the first time and wake up in the morning saying good morning with our dreary eyes?
Remember ourselves learning the Indian Dance, and lunching out at MacDonald's with Hydrus's favourite of all times, Mr Lim the MUAHAHAHA teacher?
Remember when we were doing the ball room dance, how shy we were?
Remember how justinn and veron tried to teach everyone the dance moves?
Remember how hard we tried to string together the performance item?
Remember so many of us shouting our lungs out and having sore throat?
Remember Mr Lim buying sweets and food for everyone?
Remember how hard we've rehearsed for the Fusion Nite, which we all will never forget, which we all yearn for an encore?
Remember the year 2 orientation when we had to drag our feet running around Singapore, remember the super tiring experience?
Remember ou guys bugging me non-stop about the new seating arrangements?
Remember yourselves complaining about your desk-buddy, but ended up becoming such good friends?
Remember Level Camp 2008, at St. John Islands, when we were split up, but the Hydrus spirits of never say die continues to burn?
Remember seeing so many Hydrusians taking up the lead roles of their groups and giving their best shots?
Remember ourselves dying to mug for tests, and surviving one after one of disappointment(not applicable for all)
Remember Wei Heng the king counting down to the number of days to the end of EOYs?
Remember?
Those were the days, those were the memories sealed in our hearts, never to be forgotten forever.
Today, all of us are going in separate ways, be it you are leaving DHS, or getting into different subject combination classes.
Don't cry because its over.
Smile.
Because it happened.
Today was a moody day, but why?
Because the memories we've shared were so fond, and we never ever wanna let go, we don't wanna say goodbye and put a halt to the days of us, all 36 of us, sitting in the classroom waiting for time to pass, for lessons to end.
It is contradicting that we wanted days to end so badly, but when it did, we sigh at the rate it has passed.
Time flies, and it'd never rewind.
Tomorrow is full of the unknown.
Promise me, my friends, lead your lives to the fullest.
No matter what, stay happy throughout.
I didn't do much as a chairperson this year.
I was quite irresponsible and tried to shrink from my responsibilites.
For now, i'm regretting why did i not do more?
i'm sorry, for causing you guys to have to stay back on the in-line skating day, because of my negligence
i'm sorry, for never ever taking the initiative to hold Hydrus gatherings, like what a chairperson should have done.
i'm sorry for the horrendous temper, and the foul mouth, always shooting off before thinking through.
i'm sorry, for being such a lousy chairperson.
i'm even more sorry, to have volunteered when i'm not up to it at all.
i'm sorry.

AHHH YAY HYDRUS!
We got into the finals for volleyball! -cheers-
The finals are on Wednesdayyy.
The guys did great as well :D
With Shing Chun's goal and Anthony's sweep yesterday, and Hong Yi as goalie, plus Justinn and Justin and Zhi En and Jia Jian (cheering on at the side because he supposedly is too good to play ._.), you guys really rocked the field! Haha. Top 8, still not bad yeah!
Especially because y'all are basketballers and now you have to change from using your hands to using your feet, and that you never did have a lot of practise besides PE, right? :D:D
Yay so last year the guys were second for bball and this year it's our turn for vball :D:D

JW's farewell party

We'll be organizing a farewell 'party' for Jia Wen.

Time: After CIP
Venue: BBQ pit G70 @ East Coast Park (V. near SparkC)
Please bring:
-$5 extra for the payment of food
-picnic mats (to sit 'cos I don't think there'll be enough chairs)
-umbrellas (just in case it rains)
-Tongs ("kiap"stuff thingy)
-paper/plastic plates (!!)
-disposable untensils e.g. forks and spoons (!!)
- (optional) outdoor games e.g frisbee, soccer ball

Transport: (3 ways in total)
1) Get yourself to Parkway Parade. Then make your way to the bus stop opposite PP (in front of roxy square) and take Bus 36. This bus will then take you to Changi Airport then to ECP Car park F3. Since the BBQ pit is at AREA G, you all will have to alight at Car Park F3 and walk. If i'm not wrong, you should see Food Village when you alight.
Warning: Might take quite long.
2) Alight @ tanah merah mrt station and walk to ECP. We can walk as a group so it wont be that bad (?)
3) Share a taxi :D Tell the uncle: "East Coast Park Car Park G. Spark C that side."
Where your $ goes to:
-food and drinks for everyone
-charcoal, wire gauze thingy, starter, payment of pit
-the rest will go into class fund

For the first link:

2. Click on 'Profiler' which can be found at the bottom left corner. It's also represented by an icon of sunglasses
3. Look for the Multiple Intelligences test. It is the one at the most bottom left.
4. Click and there you go :D
For me, the second link doesn't work. So just try the first one lah :D
But if you're BENT on using the second test, you may want to try going to http://www2.bgfl.org/, before typing Multiple Intelligences in the search box at the top right hand corner. Click on the option which says Multiple Intelligences (Secondary), then scroll all the way down and click on Start the activity.
This still doesn't work for me, though. They say dunno what website cannot be found.. So... I guess you'll all just have to use the first link XD
Please please try the test and print/ write out the results for me by Monday.
Pass me the paper with both your results and name on it alright. Don't blurblur forget to write your name then I don't know who the results belong to.

a few things to announce
FIRST:
its kinda late but remember the money for the roses you ordered!
SECOND:
for cny decoration, please bring the angbao you are requested to bring..
the more the merrier laa but if you really cant find any extra angbao just buy a magazine la they got give free one..
then i think it will be cool for everyone in 2h to contribute! =D
so my primary plan is
everyone take an A4 sized paper, draw and cut a rat and write your well wishes or whatever you want to say on it, and we will paste them along the corridor(our designated decoration spot). it will be lovely if you will use coloured paper.(ie. red, yellow,orange) or better still, make something cool with recycled paper!
even if you are not good at drawing, you can print an outline of a rat from the internet and cut it, then write your well-wishes.
please do this by 30th january kay. =D
i will be nagging behind everybody.
THIRDLY
is regarding the class tee shirt
the design is out!
it can still be edited and it still has to go through and get school's approval.
well we should all thank the designer cos he did a fantastic job!!

and we are no longer printing on a round-collar tee
we are printing on a POLO TEE!

the cost has increased a little bit cos the template we are printing is increased from A4 to A3
and i forgot to add in mrs goh's tee's cost too.

Picture Courtesy of MR CJ LIM!!!! (CLICK TO ENLARGE!)The only bus that goes from IN FRONT of our school (as in the bus-stop in front of our Tanjong Rhu Campus) is bus 158 (Yes, I checked it out!). So hope that helps! Cos heard that we will be dismissed from the river there which is right behind the hostel... Which means that MOST PROBABLY we have to take the bus from the Tanjong Rhu Campus in front there! Oh yea... Mr Lim says u ppl can walk out and take other buses to mrt... and that the bus stop is just beside two petrol kiosks (quite near the mkt/hawker centre there). It is quite easy to get there, just walk along the main road. So anyway just go out from the hostel gate, it's nearer to the bus stop. All the info above, except the 158 bus that one, was provided by Mr CJ Lim... ** Round of applause please **

time seriously flies. its the 4th week of term 2. soon the semester will be over. its true that happy moments passes by dam quickly.
and ppl. im real damn sad. first time in my life, i failed a test. i don find it embarassing, i am just damn damn damn(x100..000)disappointed in myself. its time i start being more serious and not talk crap, heard dat? justinny and weiheng? stop throwing paper pellets at shingchun over or beside my head.its disruptive. hais. u jus cant imagine the disappointment. sigh. but the assignments/quiz dat were given out to us after that did boost me up a little.

had a greaat time with keke(cassandra), qinqin(weeqin) and shiushiu(shiu wen) todae.shiushiu is keke de dear, and qinqin is my dear...haha.
anw. we did the maths proj at my hse den at 2++ we went to TM for some FUN!
we went to this neoprint shop at CS and had an encounter with a few babarians. in fact, they were worse than babarians, cos babarians don scold vulgarities. haha. anw. theres dis ugly looking gal(n she thought she's chio). she asked" are u all with the previous grp(the grp hu jus went in the machine)." then i said no. then she said "他妈的。前面还有4个人” then she asked us “让我们先去可以吗？" we waited for so long, of cos we said cannot lahx. then we say we came first mahx. then that babarian said “他妈的跟 limpei说什么firstcome first serve!" then she somehow insulted me lahx...i didnt bothered to listen. then they ask us wat school de. den keke said dunman...without high. then they say dunman sec arh? sec what?" then keke said "1" . haha. they don even noe theres a damn gd sch called dunman high in the outside world. ha. then its like i told keke to go lah. then we walk out lor. we go the tm one. then shiushiu say they were laughing at us. they don even noe dat its jus dat we don wanna quarrel. not we r scared. then we went out of the shop we kept saying “我们是有文化的人，we r a good dunmanian!not like dem!" then we keep 自夸。haha.then its like we were so proud of ourselves. that we managed to 忍。aiya, as a chinese saying"忍一时风平浪静，退一步海阔天空" gosh.haha. then qinqin and shiu shiu had to go. then me and keke walked around....will update again. my broother is rushing me.

Determination is deep in you. u gotta find it and free it from inside u. with determination, anything can be possible. Anything. That's y during leadership class comm camp i realized that since i wanna be like my seniors in year 3 & 4, i kept doing the harsh 40-60 pushups. i completed them. That, is determination. i also, amazingly, beat my year 4 seniors in the 2.4run. that is wad determination can do.
Determination also makes u not to give up(duh).last time, when i was little, i kept giving up in almost EVERYTHING. taekwondo,drawing,err, etc etc, becos i no determination.now, after i realized, determination leads u to a path of success.SO BEAR THIS IN MIND. DETERMINATION ALSO LEADS TO SUCCESS.
although i m not like myself when i say all this, i hope u all have determination in you. free it. be with determination. take it as ur closest fren.go with it wherever u go. do not, i repeat, do NOT, give it up, or u will regret deeply even though u havent realized it. have a nice day. *more life lessons coming soon...*

Why does it seem like no matter how hard i try, things just don't go the right way.
i'm damn scared dat i'll flunk my coming unseen prose test, or all the LA tests...ive been doing badly.urgh.what shd i do?
today's it club was fun=)html....it rox so far...lol. but it requires alot of concentration.
i don like my current sitting arrangement. i don like 2 sit at where i am currently. the noise lvl at the front and back of me is far too high,i cannot concentrate.i still prefer to sit with ALICIA.

Camp
Hi, people, i also wanna talk about the camp, lol, coz nth to do. Anyway, the camp is generally fun especially the outdoor cooking part. U noe how pityful we r, we were only given six packets of maggie(dunno how to spell),a few sausages, crab stick, three wax(i think it is a wax or some chemical thingy that is flammable), 3 mess tin only. Then they expect us to boil the water and cook the maggie.Plz lo, we got abt 7 people then we had to share the mess tin and eat together. At first, i thought that was disgusting coz we had to taste each other's saliva but we were too hungry to think of it anymore. There were so many problems. First, the "wax" was so hard to light up, we almost used up a box a matchstick to light it. And then, the wax used up, then we didn hav enough wax to keep burning so we had to burn tissues and leaves(juz everything we can find to burn), then i accidentally miused jiajian's used fork to eat the noodle,( Omg,i tasted his saliva, yucks!)Then i also accidentally threw a bunch of grass into the noodle. After that, Xing Chun keep complaining abt the grass flavour noodle. Lol, but it was very very fun.
Then at night, we started to talk abt ghost stories. So spooky. Until i did not dare to go to the toilet alone even in dayLol. Anyway, i hate the physical training, coz of it, today my whole body got muscle cramp, my shoulder, arm, stomach, leg even mouth(due to blow to many ballons) are in ache. ;( ______________________________________________________________________

CLASS COMM CAMP!
basically the class comm camp is more fun than i expect....outdoor cooking...forfeits....games....and the slp in SCHOOL. lololololWe had outdoor cooking and lots of games lahx....then Rivend(facillatator frm cheers international) said dat we look damn damn funny when we play chair soccer.....like ping ming liddat......lolololol.1st time cooking myself....lol.erm....then at nite the game is really challenging...alot r me
memorising games....we slept at 12++am.....Vivian woke me up the 2nd day...then it was the PT....i hate PTs.....it was difficult.....REALLY!
then its the games organised by Vice chair.....then reflections...then the day ended....so SAD!
what i've got to say is, a GOOD camp does nt nid alot of activities, sometimes if its not so packed and the schedule is more flexibe,participants will like it more and haf a good memory,as it is less stressful.
Sometimes not 2 much activities can make the camp FRUITFUL and FUN!
dey were saying GHOST STORIES!!!!!and i still want to slp dat nite....so i don wanna listen...no pt scaring myself rite?

Oh my gosh. The things i hate most are projects and researches. They are time consuming and have to use com. hais. and this mailmerge thingy...i CANT GET IT AT ALL!!!!!! SO FED UP!!!!!!! i'm getting frustrated. not with the homework. but UNCLEAR instructions from various teachers!!!!!! and dat art...its gonna kill me. for some1 like me, who haf no art genes, it'll be tough to even pass!!!!!! hais......no choice. and de geog, y the teacher tiao lai tiao qu one? hais. so luan. wait gif the bushmen thingy, w8 teach environment, what is she trying to express?
